Federico Pérez Villoro’s installation No Distance , on view at CANK in Neukölln, documents the material traces of the global network of submarine fiber-optic cables that sustain online connectivity. It displays a selection of carefully identified satellite images to reveal the scars – the physical impact – of an infrastructure that seeks to remain unnoticed beneath the ocean.
