Rochelle Webster Nembhard
Rochelle Webster-Nembhard is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice operates at the intersection of ritual, spatial systems, and embodied performance. She approaches ritual not as symbolic gesture or static form, but as an active, relational structure that organizes movement, attention, and transformation over time. Working with earth, clay, walking, labyrinths, and long-durational performances, her work draws from ancestral knowledge systems and feminine cosmologies to reconfigure space as a technology of remembrance, healing, and social repair. Positioning the body as both site and agent, her practice activates spaces in which personal and collective histories are continually negotiated.
