LA OREJONA RECORDS

In La Orejona Records Nicole L’Huillier works with sound, vibrations and resonances to explore the poetics of sonic unintelligibility. Presenting a framework where both human and non-human agents are part of large-scale resonating assemblages, she will develop a sculpture operating as a vibrational membrane microphone to interact with phenomena such as sound waves, the wind, and touch. La Orejona Records asks: what hegemonic modes of listening can be challenged and what forms of relations emerge when thinking through vibrations?

A public programme of recording sessions will be hosted by the artist, featuring improvisation sessions, concerts, poetry readings, dialogues, storytelling, collective screaming sessions, cañitas (pan flutes) ensembles, singing encounters, and collective drumming.
