Anne is a researcher and technologist based between Geneva, Switzerland and London, United Kingdom. Her work focuses primarily on the invisible processes and people behind tech, and she uses design and code to convey the complexity of these topics. These led to her co-founding The Re:Source Project with Miriam Matthiessen, which was recently incubated at Wikimedia Deutschland’s UNLOCK Accelerator Programme. She holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University, an MA from The Graduate Institute of Geneva, and was previously a Research Fellow at the Open Knowledge Foundation.
Miriam is a graduate researcher at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR). Her research interests include the relationship between cities and time, and how urban theory may better account for extractive and logistical processes. Outside academia, she has a keen interest in the visual representation of logistical phenomena, as well as the intersection of labour rights and open-source. She is currently developing the Re:Source project together with Anne Lee Steele, and also helps maintain the Seafarer Abandonment Project together with Eliza Ader. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University College London.
