Seven cultural institutions and initiatives are invited to use transmediale’s infrastructure to map counter-practices collectively. The institutions have worked for decades within unstable political and economic contexts shaped by war, repression, political turbulence, technological asymmetries, and extractive economies. In a process facilitated by METASITU , they develop a shared language of symbols and text, mapping the conditions they work within and the tactics developed to sustain communities and circulate knowledge through shifting circumstances.

The gathering includes institutions from Ukraine, Pakistan, Greece, Iran, Chile, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Kazakhstan. The resulting map will become part of the Ruined Assembly installation until the end of the exhibition. More details about the Ruined Assembly programme will be provided soon.
