In this walk-in event, participants are encouraged to bring their own (crunchy) chips and join artist and filmmaker Su Yu Hsin in a conversation on landscapes and how they are transformed through industrial production. A video trilogy exploring the environmental extraction that accompanies tech-infrastructure will be playing in tandem with the discussion. Her research begins with the world’s largest chip foundry, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), and continues to the colonial water infrastructure Salt River Valley in Arizona, and to today’s development of Silicon Saxony, in Dresden-Gittersee, close to the Elbe River.
