Drawing on both contemporary and historical texts, Ruscica's film deconstructs the idea of the travelogue itself as romanticised history, factual document and idealised experience. Ruscica's main area of interest lies in examining how one defines one’s location, a sense of place in the world, and how and why that definition can change. Travelogue was researched and shot on location at the Camden Arts Centre for Ruscica's Magic Lantern residency.

Basierend auf sowohl zeitgenössischen als auch historischen Texten, dekonstruiert Ruscicas Film die Idee des Reisetagebuchs als romantisierte Geschichte, sachliches Dokument und idealisierte Erfahrung. Die Hauptinteressen Ruscicas liegen darin zu untersuchen, wie man sein Umfeld definiert – ein Gespür für den Aufenthaltsort auf der Welt – und wie und warum diese Definition sich ändern kann. Travelogue wurde im Rahmen von Ruscicas Magic Lantern Residency im Camden Arts Centre vor Ort recherchiert und gedreht.
