Not To Be. Not To Be At All invites reflection on modes of representation and identity. A slow, contemplative pan across a mechanic’s workshop serves to recontextualise the space of labour into a site of existential meditation. The Christian symbolism of the artists’ characteristic tableau vivants, baroque music and voiced philosophical musings disrupt and redefine expectations of this everyday space as well as the representation of youth in popular media.

Ein langsamer und nachdenklicher Schwenk durch die Werkstatt eines Mechanikers rekontextualisiert den Arbeitsraum und macht ihn zu einem Ort der Meditation. Christliche Symbole im für den Künstler typischen lebenden Bild, Barockmusik und gesprochene philosophische Gedankengänge brechen an diesem alltäglichen Ort mit Erwartungen und definieren ihn sowie die Darstellung von Jugend in den Medien neu.
