Nobody likes to be left behind. The cinematographic postproduction tries to neutralise a farewell, or tries to at least suspend it. The film image of a person disappearing in a car is continually scaled up in such a way that the departing movement is completely neutralised and the protagonist retains her original size. Because of the physical zoom into the film material, the image degrades continually. Film grain increases, sharpness decreases, until the image gets completely absorbed in the film material.

Niemand möchte alleine bleiben. Farewell ist der vergebliche Versuch, mithilfe kinematografischer Postproduktion einen Abschied zu verhindern. Das Filmbild einer im Auto entschwindenden Person wird gegenläufig und kontinuierlich so hochskaliert, dass die Bewegung neutralisiert wird und die Protagonistin ihre Größe behält. Durch den Zoom ins Filmmaterial hinein nimmt die Schärfe ab und das Filmkorn wächst so lang, bis sich das Bild komplett im Bildmaterial auflöst.
