Spiral Keti is a visual research interface that maps out a Wikipedia rabbit hole. Images at the center of the spiral are directly related to your search term, while those farther out reveal broader, tangential, or abstract connections to it. Behind the scenes, a crawler pulls images from your search term’s Wikipedia page and then follows a series of linked articles, pulling images from each one. Spiral Keti is an experiment in defamiliarising the web; by automating the act of browsing the world's most used encyclopedia, it explores how network logics shape and constrain the structure of knowledge.
Spiral Keti was originally made as part of the Web Residencies programme by Akademie Schloss Solitude.
Tahar's contributions to the festival are presented in cooperation with Akademie Schloss Solitude.
