Roberto Alonso Trillo
Roberto Alonso Trillo is a Hong Kong-based theorist and artist working across the philosophy of technology and artificial intelligence. He is Associate Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University, a co-founder of Disintegrator, and co-leads two small, research-driven ventures. His work engages the aesthetic and political dimensions of machine learning, with particular attention to infrastructure, performativity, and human-AI interfaces. In ongoing collaboration with Marek Poliks, he investigates AI theory, speculative design, and automation as central problems of contemporary cultural production. His practice is rooted in performance and extended through experimental sound design, post-instrumental practice, and critical pedagogy.
