Kübra Aycan Gelekçi is an economist, researcher, writer, and cultural worker based in Istanbul. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics, where her research focuses on the relationship between cultural industries and human development. Her work is situated at the intersection of cultural economics, gender, and behavioral sciences. Alongside her academic research, she works in exhibition-making, public programming, and strategic planning. She is part of the team at Sanatorium, a contemporary art gallery in Istanbul, and collaborates with Karşılaşmalar Interdisciplinary Art and Ideas Studio. She is also one of the facilitators of Buradan Nereye? (From Here to Where?), an initiative that works on labour conditions, transparency, and organisational practices within the arts. Her areas of interest include organisational models, cultural labour, behavioural and experimental approaches to collective action, and alternative models of value creation and redistribution.
