Jinran Ha

Jinran Ha is a Berlin-based visual artist and interaction designer (UdK Berlin, Meisterschülerin). Her research-driven practice spans installation, performance, XR, and digital media, investigating structural exclusions within technological systems through the lenses of migrant feminism, decolonial solidarity, and techno-shamanic inquiry. Her current research centers on how AI image generation systems fail to render Samsin Halmi – a Korean shamanistic deity transmitted without visual documentation – reading these failures as structural evidence of colonial knowledge hierarchies embedded in training data. She is currently developing an XR installation as part of the HTW Berlin IUNO Artistic Fellowship (2026–2027). Her work has been exhibited internationally, and she contributed to the anthology Kochen, Putzen, Sorgen (Hatje Cantz, 2024). She is a board member of District School without Center, a queer feminist art and cultural association in Berlin.
