PV Schmidt is based at the Critical Studies Department of Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam. With degrees from The University of Applied Arts Vienna and Goldsmiths, University of London he has presented research at symposia and workshops of the University of Amsterdam and the Estonian Academy of Arts.
