On 21 October, Werkleitz Festival in Halle (Saale) kicks off under this year’s title of Nicht mehr, noch nicht (“no longer, not yet”). It comprises an exhibition as well as a film, performance and workshop program, all of which address the current state of urban development and the transformation of urban communities. How is life in the city changing in an age of rural depopulation and booming real estate speculation? The film program and exhibition are curated by Florian Wüst, who has also been running transmediale’s film and video section since 2016.
