Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a harassment and discrimination-free festival experience for everyone regardless of sex, gender identity and expression, sexual identity and orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, religion, socio-economic status and background, birthplace or any other line of oppression. We will implement this policy throughout the festival and we expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody at all festival venues and festival-related social events – both offline and online. transmediale reserves the right to (permanently) exclude anyone who acts against our code of conduct from attending, participating, working on, or volunteering at our festival.

I or somebody else was harassed or discriminated against at a festival event.
Who can I talk to? What can I do?

Our goal is not only to work on making our events safer by preventing harassment and discrimination but also to react appropriately when such incidents do occur. If you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation at any festival event, or you think somebody else might be in one, please approach our info counter or the team members. You can also send us a direct message to our telegram @transmediale_team. Reports can be submitted with or without identifying information of the offender. All reports will be treated seriously and responded to promptly, all correspondence will be confidential. No decisions on how to respond to the incident will be made without the consent of the affected person. We work within our team to better our infrastructure to provide comprehensive help. Your feedback helps us learn from such incidents or mistakes to make sure they will not happen again.
