Nicholas Anastasopoulos

Nicholas Anastasopoulos, PhD is a researcher, architect, academic, and lecturer at the National Technical University of Athens. Areas of research and action include the commons, degrowth, sustainability, systems and complexity, alternative communities, and P2P urbanism. In 2014 he conducted research on sustainability, Buen Vivir, the commons and their impact on urban environments in Ecuador and contributed for the FLOK Society project. The MET workshop is one outcome of this ongoing research. It is an action research project bringing together disparate communities of citizens, academics, activists and reseachers in a transnational debate over a local issue, in regards with central former airports (Mariscal Sucre, Elliniko, Tempelhof) and the futures of their cities.
