This is our most frequent newsletter. Twice a month you’ll receive the latest updates on transmediale and its network. • German version below

Rewatch selected panels and keynotes of transmediale 2019: Besides image material and audio files which we already published on our website, the video documentation of this year’s Auditorium program can now be found there as well. Through a selection of radio interviews you can dive deeper into the program. For the Vilém Flusser Residency 2019, we are happy to introduce our new resident Luiza Prado de O. Martins, who convinced the jury with her poetical-political approach to addressing topics of reproduction, climate change, solidarity, and care.

Vilém Flusser Residency 2019: Luiza Prado de O. Martins

The Vilém Flusser Residency Program for Artistic Research continues with a new project in 2019: The jury has selected Luiza Prado de O. Martins for her project proposal “The Councils of the Pluriversal: Affective Temporalities of Reproduction and Climate Change,” in which she adopts a poetical-political approach—whereby excess rather than consensus becomes a site of construction for new practices of care and solidarity. Read the jury statement here (https://transmediale.de/content/vil-m-flusser-residency-for-artistic-res...) .

Technosphärenklänge #7: Pantha du Prince

What does it sound like when trees communicate? This question sets the scene for the 7th edition of HKW and CTM Festival’s event series Technosphärenklänge (https://www.ctm-festival.de/concerts/concert/calendar/2019/03/02/technos...) : on 2 and 3 March 2019, Hendrik Weber—better known as Pantha du Prince—translates the cellular “conversation” between trees into an audio-visual composition of avant-garde music and electronic club sounds, visual poetry, and speculative science.
