Wolfgang Kaleck is a German lawyer who represents Edward Snowden on behalf of a Berlin law firm. He is also General Secretary of the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR), an independent organization he founded in 2007. ECCHR works with lawyers and groups around the world to take legal action against state and non-state actors for their roles in crimes against international law. In 2015, he published two books: Mit Recht gegen die Macht: Unser weltweiter Kampf für die Menschenrechte, and Double Standards: International Criminal Law and the West.
