Samer Barqawi graduated with a degree in business management from the University of Damascus in 1994 and has been mainly working in the production of television series and drama as producer and director. He has directed several short films including Nur (2003), The Poster (2003), Yousry Nasrallah (2005), Kalam Harim (Women's Talk, 2006), television series Bint al-Noor (Dubai, 2008), and Buq'et Daw' (Syria, 2008).
