Ilze Black is a curator, researcher, media artist, and co-founder of Art bureau OPEN and media arts collective Take2030. During the last 20 years she has curated and produced numerous art productions, events, and happenings in and around London, Europe, and Asia. Her projects engaged with ideas of network populism, free wireless internet, open communities, and transnational societies. Currently, she is working on her PhD thesis on phenomenology and Internet of Things. Art bureau OPEN is a multidisciplinary group of artists and curators. Their participatory art projects engage with the critique of capitalism and modern day consumer culture.
