Astrid Heibach

Astrid Heibach (1949, Düsseldorf), studied from 1972 to 1974 theater and film at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and from 1986 to 1987 and computer graphics at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Since 1975 she works as visual artist, writer, editor, lecturer and filmmaker. In 1981 she was co-founder of the video magazine Infermental. Her film work includes the documentary Universal Input Output (1982), the feature film Mit meinen Augen (1996) and experimental short films such as Stille Katastrophe (1986), Believe It or Not (1987), I Did It (1990), Charley's Girl (2005) and Der Galerist (2007).
