For this Overflow event, artists Jamie Allen and David Gauthier present the digital ooze and technological seepage; the leakage of and within infrastructures of electronics and code. The workshop provides opportunities to play with apparatus in code and electronics.
at PLATOON Kunsthalle, Schönhauser Allee 9, 10119 Berlin | Systems get built on top of systems (that get built). For the workshop non-invasive and non-contact sensing in the environment around the workshop is planned – participants will learn and discuss these technologies and their potentials, and take part in a 'mapping exercise' of Berlin's streetscape in order to seek out points where systems can be made to leak material and information.
How do we come to know about things, particularly when they are designed to go unnoticed? Information and meaning need one another, like material and media. What frustrates and unties these binds are the interest of this workshop.
Aksioma – Institute for Contemporary Art, Ljubljana, in partnership with the reSource for transmedial culture presents: Telekommunisten: Miscommunication Technologies - R15N, the first international partner event of the reSource after transmediale 2K12.
The exhibition takes place at the Aksioma | Project Space, Komenskega 18, Ljubljana (19 March-6 April 2012), opening on 19 March at 7 pm (free entrance).
The reSource transmedial culture berlin will be presented at the Connecting People Apart, event series organised by the reSource partners from the Post-Media Lab (Leuphana University, Lüneburg). Tatiana Bazzichelli, reSource curator, will be presenting the project at The Community Complex – A Post-Media Lab conference on Friday, 22 June, at the Denkerei, Berlin.
