"Floppy Films - no more than 1.44 MB of moving image" was an intense three-days workshop at transmediale 2012. Ten international participants learned the techniques of squeezing short films on floppy disks.
World of the News – The world’s greatest peer-reviewed newspaper of in/compatible research presents cutting edge in/compatible research in an accessible FREE tabloid format. The newspaper partly addresses academia’s increasing demand for publication of academic peer-reviewed journal articles. Perhaps researchers need new visions of how to produce and consume research?
Aksioma – Institute for Contemporary Art, Ljubljana, in partnership with the reSource for transmedial culture presents: Telekommunisten: Miscommunication Technologies - R15N, the first international partner event of the reSource after transmediale 2K12.
The exhibition takes place at the Aksioma | Project Space, Komenskega 18, Ljubljana (19 March-6 April 2012), opening on 19 March at 7 pm (free entrance).
Slightly after 18.00 on the first of February 2012, all above ground level materials embraced by the titles House of World Cultures and transmediale were shifted around one millimetre within a vertical direction or vector.
The thematic framework for the reSource for transmedial culture activity during 2012 – towards transmediale festival in 2013 – is following the reflections initiated during transmediale 2k+12 and expanding in syntony with the planning for the next festival.
In the month of April we are starting a first phase of the reSource activity, the reSource Chats. Our proposal is to address independent cultural producers of Berlin, investigating in which ways the reSource can serve to them as a platform for visibility and networking enrichment. In Berlin many art and activist projects exist, and they do not need an additional platform to be developed or come into life.
The first reSource event of 2012 after the transmediale festival was not a crack at all! The event went beyond our expectations, and gathered a very interesting group of active cultural agents and artists living and working in Berlin.
